Dr. Maha Dabas is a Research Associate in the roofing and insulation group at the National Research Council of Canada. She has over five years experience in research and practical engineering combined. She has experience in evaluating the long-term performance of roofing materials exposed to standard and extreme climate hygrothermal conditions, evaluating reinforcement corrosion and freeze and thaw cycles of concrete columns, evaluating the residual strength of corroded columns and evaluating the hydrological performance of different roofing systems as part of nature-based solutions. Currently, Dr. Dabas main research focus is evaluating the hydrological performance of NBS-CR systems through experimental (laboratory and field testing) and field monitoring. In addition, Dr. Dabas work is focused on evaluating the hygrothermal, strength and efficiency of innovative and sustainable roofing systems.
