Prof. Dr. Karsten Henrich Weylandt is Full Professor of Gastroenterology at Brandenburg Medical School. After his MD at the University of Heidelberg, he completed his Ph.D. studies at the Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine, University of Oxford in 2000. He received his clinical training at the Charité in Berlin, and from 2009 to 2011, served as a Research Fellow and Instructor at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. His research interests are focused on the study of nutritional biochemistry, lipids, polyunsaturated fatty acids, lipid mediators, lipidomics, metabolic diseases, aging, gastroenterology, and clinical oncology.
