Biography

Saw Tun Lin is a consultant at SEAMEO SPAFA in Bangkok and a former lecturer in the Department of Archaeology at Yangon University. He is also one of the founding members of the Myanmar Archaeology Association (MAA). Since 2014, he has actively participated in various activities aimed at safeguarding heritage and engaging with communities at heritage sites in Myanmar. My main research interest lies in the production, distribution, and consumption of glazed ceramics in Myanmar between the 14th and 18th centuries. I am also interested in studying the development of Buddhist-Hindu iconography in Arakan, Bagan, and Mon. Recently, I have focused on the early Southeast Asian relations with Bengal and their trade networks concerning Suvarnabhumi.
