Prof. Dainius Pauza graduated from Vilnius University, Faculty of Natural Sciences as master's in Zoology. In 1992, he obtained a PhD at Kaunas University of Medicine (currently The Lithuanian University of Health Sciences). From 2002, he officiated as a full Professor at the Institute of Anatomy at Kaunas University of Medicine. From 2008 to 2018, he served as the member and chairman of the Research Council of Lithuania. In 2014, he as the Chairman of the Research Council of Lithuania initiated the Annual Japan-Lithuania Joint Symposia of Life Sciences. He is a member of the Lithuanian, European, and American Societies of Morphologists and Anatomists. His scientific interest and research areas are Autonomic Neuroscience, Cardiac and Vascular Biology, Neuroanatomy, and Neurobiology.
