Her main research activities concern: (i) the characterization and monitoring of contaminated sites via the application of different assessment methods and the implementation of groundwater flow and solute transport modelling, to evaluate contaminant sources and fate and to verify the efficiency of reclamation strategies; (ii) water resources management and protection in the coastal plains, with a focus on salinization processes and water and nitrogen balance at basin scale.
