Dr. Xiaoyun Xu received her B.Sc. in Food Science and Engineering from the Hubei University of Technology in 1997 and her Ph.D. in Food Science from Huazhong Agricultural University in 2009. She worked as a Visiting scholar at the University of Manitoba, Canada from August 2008 to August 2009 and at Ghent University, Belgium from October 2017 to January 2018. She is now a Professor in Food Science and Technology at Huazhong Agricultural University. She is also a member of the expert group for the enterprise standard of food safety record of the Hubei Provincial Council.
