Kun Gao received a B.E. degree in electrical engineering and a Ph.D. degree in instrument science and engineering from Zhejiang University, China, in 1995 and 2002, respectively. From 2002 to 2004, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Tsinghua University, China. Since 2005, he has been with the Beijing Institute of Technology, China, working on infrared technology and real-time image processing. He is a member of the Optical Society of China.
