Dr. Desislava Staneva received her Ph.D. in Textile chemistry in 2008 from the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy, Sofia, Bulgaria. Currently, she is working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Textile, Leather, and Fuels at the same university. Her current research interests focus on textile modification and the development of novel intelligent materials with sensory properties, biological activity, and wastewater treatment capabilities that have applications in ecology, medicine, etc.
