Alfredo Milani is Associate Professor at the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Perugia, Italy. He received his Doctor degree in Information Science from the University of Pisa, Italy. He has been a research assistant at the National Research Council Institute for Computational Linguistics, ILC-CNR, Pisa, and a member of the executive committee of the European Network of Excellence in AI Planning. He has organized many international conferences and has been a visiting scientist and visiting professor at research institutions including NASA JPL and Hong Kong Baptist University. His research interests include artificial intelligence with a focus on evolutionary algorithms and machine learning with applications to planning, complex networks, web-based adaptive systems, and adversarial learning. He is the Director of the KitLab research laboratory at the University of Perugia, affiliated with the CLAIRE European Network of AI Research. He is a Senior member of the IEEE. Prof. Milani's awards and honors include the Informatics Europe Prize 2019.
