Professor Maria Luisa Di Gioia is Associate Professor of Organic Chemistry at the Department of Pharmacy, Health, and Nutritional Sciences, University of Calabria, Italy. She obtained her MSc in Pharmacy (2000) and Ph.D. in Methodologies for the Development of Pharmacological Molecules (2005) at the same university, where she previously served as a researcher (2006–2022). She is the author of more than 90 peer-reviewed publications. Her research focuses on green and sustainable synthesis, with particular attention paid to deep eutectic solvents (DES) for organic transformations, peptide synthesis, and natural product extraction.
