I am a biologist, toxicologist, and researcher specializing in insect toxicology and insecticide resistance in medically and economically important insects. I hold a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from the University of Buenos Aires, and my research focuses on understanding the toxicological, molecular, biochemical, genetic, and ecological mechanisms underlying insecticide resistance, particularly in human head lice (Pediculus humanus capitis), house flies (Musca domestica), and Chagas disease vectors (Triatoma infestans). My work also explores innovative and environmentally friendly approaches for insect control, including essential oils, natural compounds, and novel formulations. A central goal of my research is to translate scientific knowledge into practical strategies for sustainable pest and vector management. I am currently based at the Center for Research on Pests and Insecticides (CIPEIN-CONICET) and am also involved in teaching, graduate training, technology transfer, and scientific editorial activities. I have authored more than 60 indexed scientific publications and collaborate with researchers and institutions in Argentina and internationally.
