Senior Medical Doctor in Medical Genetics and Internal Medicine, with over 35 years of experience. Founder and head of Genetics Dr. Gug, a private genetics clinic active for more than 20 years, where over 16,000 cases have been investigated, diagnosed, and counseled across all areas of medical genetics. I performed the first invasive prenatal diagnosis in Romania—a fetal karyotype from amniotic fluid in 2002. My main expertise lies in prenatal diagnosis and infertility genetics, complemented by extensive experience in rare diseases and oncogenetics. In parallel, I am Associate Professor of Medical Genetics Department at Victor Babes University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Timisoara, Romania. My clinical and academic work has led to the publication of numerous ISI-indexed papers, contributing to advances in genetic diagnostics and the integration of genomics into clinical practice. I am dedicated to bridging clinical practice, education, and research to enhance diagnostic precision and improve patient care.
