Salvador Gil graduated (1981) and Ph.D. thesis (1988) in the University of Valencia
(UV). After a post-doctoral stage with Dr. Fleming in University of Cambridge (UK) (1988-89) on
Enantioselective additions on allyl-silanes , returned to UV to collaborate in different
research lines: reactivity of carboxylic acid dianions, study of photochemical damage,
development of chemosensors for cations, anions and hazardous gases and, more
recently, on the development of hybrid materials for the detection and controlled release
of substances.
