Ricardo Arpad Pérez Camargo is a Materials Engineer with an M.Sc. also in Materials Engineering (from Simón Bolívar University (USB) in Caracas, Venezuela), and a Ph.D. in Applied Chemistry and Polymers Materials from the University of the Basque Country (UPV-EHU) in San Sebastián, Spain. In 2019, he won the President’s International Fellowship Initiative (PIFI) to perform his postdoctoral research for two years in the Chinese Academy of Science (ICCAS) in Beijing, China. Since 2021, he has continued his research, supported by the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation and the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). His research deals with the structure, morphology, and crystallization kinetics of homopolymers (linear and cyclic), random copolymers, nanocomposites, and blends, leading to more than 30 published articles in Q1 journals.
