Dr. Noemí Cárdenas-Rodríguez is a researcher at the Laboratorio de Neurociencias, Instituto Nacional de Pediatría (INP). She received her Master of Sciences degree from the Universidad Nacional Autònoma de México (UNAM) in 2008 and her Ph.D. degree from the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN) in 2012. She worked as a Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Escuela Militar de Medicina from 2009 to 2016. Since 2008 she has been a researcher at the INP, Professor at the UNAM, and Professor at the IPN. She has more than 10 years of experience in teaching and research and as a scientific consultant of projects related to technology and medical services, has experience in writing and processing national patents, has experience in human resources management, and has experience in conferences for all types of audiences. She was awarded the Alfonso Caso Medal in 2008, first place in the Youth Prize of Mexico City in 2011, and the Instituto Gen de Investigación "Antonio López de Silanes" 2021 Award in the field of Biomedical Research, awarded by the National Academy of Medicine, among others. She is currently a Level III National Researcher of the National System of Researchers, CONAHCyT. Her research interests include oxidative stress, antioxidants, reactive oxygen species, antioxidant activity, biomarkers of oxidative stress, free radicals, apoptosis, free radical scavengers, biomarkers, and oxidation.
