The paper deals with the design of a sliding mode controller for the DC power generator with a variable load. We show that the high quality control processes will be in the closed-loop system if the designed controller compensates the inner feedbacks for the control object and forms the desired motion path in the state space for the designed closed-loop system. The above-mentioned controller is designed by using interval methods, which allow simplifying model with uncertain dynamic. We design the controller and test the designed control system by using Chua's chaotic system as a source of uncertainty. The use of interval calculus, while the controller is being designed, defines the controller structure as second-order sliding mode controller. This control approach allows constructing a high-quality asymptotically stable multi-channel control system with a control error of less than 1%. The proposed in the paper approach allows designing different control systems for linear and nonlinear objects with uncertainty.
In this paper, we consider the possibilities of applying the theory of cellular automata when determining the changes of the temperature and humidity of air masses in the CAD model of a wood drying chamber. Also, in this paper describes the developed software, which allows us to present the CAD model of a wood drying chamber in the form of a three-dimensional array. The elements of this array are 3D cubes, each of which has six faces. All these faces can interact with other faces, both own and adjacent object of class 3D cube. The interconnections between these faces are given in the scheme of relations. In addition, the work describes the developed classes and gives diagrams of classes and sequences.
Piezoelectric drives are widely used as high precision actuators. The paper deals with the design of interval models for studying of piezoelectric drive's dynamic. Results of such studying can be used for the construction of a precise position control system for a piezoelectric drive. We propose to design an interval model by defining some intervals where piezoelectric motor nonlinearity and uncertainty exist. We show some benefits of the proposed approach for modeling of piezoelectric drive and approve them by given simulations' results.
