I hold a doctorate and master's degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the Instituto Oswaldo Cruz - Fiocruz, and a degree in Veterinary Medicine from the Universidade Federal Rural do Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I received a post-doctoral training at Yale University, School of Public Health, EUA and Instituto Oswaldo Cruz, Fiocruz, Brazil. I have experience in applied molecular biology to study the interaction between endosymbionts and parasites with vectors of zoonosis. I am currently employed as a researcher at Charles University, Czech Republic.
