The supply chain for prefabricated buildings (PB) currently grapples with pressing challenges. In order to ensure the safe and stable development of the prefabricated building supply chains (PBSC), this study aims to identify the key factors and internal mechanisms affecting the PBSC, and propose a supply chain resilience enhancement mechanism, so as to promote the sustainable development of the PB industry. The study combined a literature review and survey data to identify key resilience factors in PBSC. A Structural Equation Model (SEM) was used to explore the relationships between these factors. System dynamics were applied to create a simulation model, assessing the resilience impact level and conducting sensitivity analysis. The results show that the transportation and procurement processes are the most significant factors influencing supply chain resilience. The external environmental factors wielded a more pronounced impact on the overall evaluation of supply chain resilience than the delivery and use processes, but delivery and use processes are more sensitive. The study uses the Pressure-State-Response (PSR) model to suggest strategies for enhancing supply chain resilience. This study contributes to more sustainable and efficient construction practices by offering an innovative theoretical framework to analyze the factors influencing PBSC resilience and proposing enhancement strategies.

The production of manufactured sand and stone processing can cause dust pollution due to the generation of a significant amount of stone powder. This dust (mainly granite powder) was collected and incorporated as a cement replacement into mass-manufactured sand concrete in order to enhance the mechanical properties and microstructures. The heat of the hydration was measured by adding the granite powder into the cementitious material system. The mechanical properties, autogenous shrinkage, and pore structures of the concrete were tested. The results showed that the mechanical strength of the concrete increased first and then decreased with the increase in granite powder content. By replacing the 5% cement with the granite powder, the 28 d compressive and flexural strength increased by 17.6% and 20.9%, respectively. The autogenous shrinkage was mitigated by the incorporation of the 10% granite powder and decreased by 19.7%. The mechanism of the granite powder in the concrete was studied by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and mercury intrusion porosimetry (MIP). The porosity decreased significantly within the 10% granite powder. A microstructure analysis did not reveal a change in the type of hydration products but rather that the granite powder played a role in the microcrystalline nucleation during the hydration process.

The existence of chloride ions, sulfate ions, and vehicle dynamic loads may lead to a shortened service life and premature failure of the road and bridge structures in northwestern China. Immersed in a dual-salt solution while simultaneously applying cyclic flexural loads, the free chloride ion concentration and erosion depth in concrete specimens were measured. The influence of the sulfate concentration on the apparent surface chloride concentration (Cs) and apparent diffusion coefficient (Dapp) was studied. An exponential model was used to fit the Cs, and the influence of sulfate concentration on the Cs was analyzed. The result showed that cyclic loading and solution concentration were two primary factors affecting chloride diffusion. Meanwhile, compared with the emersion conditions, dynamic loading would induce significantly accelerated chloride ion penetration. Under the coupling effect of sulfate and dynamic loading, as the sulfate concentration increased, the chloride ion concentration and erosion depth were both decreased. The existence of sulfate ions improved the chloride ion penetration resistance of concrete. The results provide insight in designing concrete in regions where multiple salt ingression (sulfate and chloride) is a major durability issue of the structures.

Pre-mixed fluidized solidified soil (PFSS) has the advantages of pumpability, convenient construction, and a short setting time. This paper took the excavated loess in Fuzhou as the research object and used cement–fly–ash–ground granulated blast furnace slag–carbide slag as a composite geopolymer system (CFGC) to synthesize PFSS. This study investigated the fluidity and mechanical strength of PFSS under different water–solid ratios and curing agent dosages; finally, the microstructure of the composite geopolymer system–pre-mixed fluidized solidified soil (CFGC-PFSS) was characterized. The results showed that when the water–solid ratio of PFSS increased from 0.46 to 0.54, the fluidity increased by 77 mm, and the flexural strength and compressive strength at 28 d decreased to 450.8 kPa and 1236.5 kPa. When the curing agent dosage increased from 15% to 25%, the fluidity increased by 18.0 mm, and the flexural strength and compressive strength at 28 d increased by 1.7 times and 1.6 times. A large number of needle-like AFt, C-S-H gel, and C-(A)-S-H gel coagulate with soil particles to form a three-dimensional reticular structure, which is the mechanism of the strength formation of PFSS under the action of CFGC.

Ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBFS)-based cementitious materials, known for their high strength and good fluidity, present an eco-friendly, low-carbon alternative to ordinary Portland cement (OPC). However, the high cost of activators poses a significant challenge, accounting for over 50% of alkali-activated material production costs. This study uses carbide slag (CS), a byproduct of polyvinylchloride (PVC) production, as an activator, along with other solid wastes such as GGBFS and fly ash (FA) as precursors to develop a novel, low-carbon alkali-activated material binder made entirely from solid waste. Various mixtures with different proportions of CS and GGBFS were prepared, and their workability and strength were tested at different ages. Additionally, the hydration characteristics and microstructure of the samples were analyzed using XRD, TG-DTG, FTIR, heat of hydration tests, and SEM-EDS. Results show that calcium hydroxide in CS activates the pozzolanic activity of GGBFS and FA, improving the strength as the proportion of CS increases. At the 5% CS content, the 7 days compressive strength of the GGBFS-based alkali-activated material increased by 79.7% compared to a 2% CS content. However, adding CS reduces the workability of the polymer slurry, with a spread decrease of 168.5 mm and 161.5 mm as the CS content increases from 2% to 8%. The inclusion of CS also increases the rate and total heat released during hydration, with the optimal performance observed at 5% CS. While FA incorporation reduces strength, it enhances slurry workability and reduces heat release during hydration. The strength development is attributed to the formation of AFt, C-S-H gel, C-(A)-S-H gel, and hydrocalumite-like hydrates.
