Prof. Feng Chen is a full professor of Electronic Engineering at Xi'an Jiaotong University, where he directs the Ultrafast Photonic Laboratory (UPL) and has served as the director of Shaanxi Key Laboratory of Photonics Technology of Information (PTI) and deputy director of the International Joint Research Center for Micro/Nanomanufacturing and Measurement Technologies. He received a B.S. degree in physics from Sichuan University in 1991 and received a Ph.D. in Optics from the Chinese Academy of Science in 1997. He joined the Chinese Academy of Science in 1991, where he was promoted to full professor in 1999. In 2002, he joined Xi'an Jiaotong University as a professor and a group leader. His current research interests are femtosecond laser microfabrication, bionic microfabrication, and ultrafast photonics.
