Information

Jordan Hristov is a Professor of Chemical Engineering. He graduated with an M.Sc.in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Sofia in 1979. He was awarded a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy, Sofia, Bulgaria in 1994 and a D.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy, Sofia, Bulgaria in 2018. His areas of interest are transport phenomena, mathematical modeling, fractional calculus, heat transfer, approximate analytical methods, and dimensional analysis. In 2020, he was enlisted in the Stanford list of highly cited scholars among the first 1% (at the 318th position in Chemical Engineering). In 2021 and 2022, he was enlisted again in the prestigious list of highly cited scholars. Professor Jordan Hristov is a member of the editorial boards of the journals Thermal Science, Particuology, Fractal and Fractional, and Progress in Fractional Differentiations and Applications. The principle direction of his research over the last decade has been related to approximate analytical solutions of nonlinear and fractional problems, applications of non-singular fractional operators to nonlocal problems, fractional viscoelasticity, heat conduction, and nonlinear diffusion.
