This study was conducted for the purpose of evaluating the effect of the psychological care given to women before and after hysterectomy surgery on depression levels, anxiety and body image. This experimental study was conducted in the gynecological oncology surgery clinic of Samsun Education and Research Hospital in Turkey between the dates of January 2018 and June 2018. Those who meet the sample selection criterion and agreed to participation to the study among the women who were admitted to the clinic for hysterectomy were assigned randomly to the experimental and control groups. 42 women in total including 21 women in each of experimental and control groups formed the sample of the study. The effect of the psychological care was evaluated through Beck Depression Inventory (BDI), State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) and Body Catherix Scale (BCS). The evaluation measurements were conducted as pre-test, post-test and follow-up (2-months post-test). The BDI and STAI scores of the women who receive psychological care have decreased and their BPS scores have increased. On the contrary, BDI and STAI scores of the women who receive psychological care in the experimental group have increased and their BCS scores have decreased. These findings show that psychological care has positive effects on depressive symptoms, anxiety and the body image in the women who underwent hysterectomy.

The aim of the research is to determine and analyze the research trends of studies on child abuse and neglect from a bibliometric perspective. The data of the study were obtained by using the SCOPUS database on 04.12.2022 without any year limitation. The research was searched using the keywords "child", "maltreatment", "abuse", "neglect", "violence" "physical abuse", "emotional abuse",. "sexual abuse", "physical neglect", "emotional neglect". As a result of the search, 97.703 studies were reached. 84.376 studies that were not related to the subject and included different disciplines were excluded. Within the scope of the study, 13.327 research articles covering psychology, social sciences and nursing disciplines were evaluated. VOSviewer, a mapping and visualization program, was used in the analysis of the data. It was determined that the most frequently used keywords related to the subject were “Child abuse” and “Child maltreatment”. It was determined that the countries, universities and journals with the highest number of publications were in Unites States (59.54%), and author collaborations were mostly made in the USA, England and Australia. However, it is predicted that the estimated number of studies will be 1407 in 2030. Bibliometric indicators show that studies on child abuse and neglect have increased considerably in recent years. In this context, distinguishing whether the factors causing the increase are related to increased awareness or abuse and neglect will guide the planning of protective preventive interventions.

Background: Perceived stress in clinical practice in nursing students affects their professional behaviors. Aims: Perceived stress in clinical practice in nursing students affects their professional behaviors. The study examined the effect of stress perceived by nursing students in clinical practice on professional behavior. Methods: The correlational and descriptive study population consisted of nursing students studying at a state university in northern Türkiye, and the sample consisted of 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year nursing students. “Personal Information Form,” “Nursing Students Professional Behaviors Scale,” and “Perceived Stress Scale for Nursing Students” forms and scales were used to collect the data. Descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation test, Mann–Whitney U test, Kruskall Wallis test, and linear regression analysis were used to analyze the data. Results: A significant relationship was found between perceived stress and professional behavior in nursing students who participated in the study. In addition, there was a significant relationship between the mean scores of gender, class, reason for choosing nursing, liking the nursing profession and clinical practice, and smoking variables and the mean scores of perceived stress and professional behavior. It was also concluded that perceived stress had a predictive effect on professional behavior and sub-dimensions (p < 0.005). Conclusions: This study revealed that perceived stress in nursing students is effective in professional care behavior. Thus, it provides essential findings for increasing stress management and professional behaviors in nursing education. In this context, improvements in educational processes and strengthening support mechanisms to reduce the negative effects of stress will contribute to the professional development of nursing students.
