Mohammad Iqbal Khan is a
Professor of Structural Engineering at the Department of Civil Engineering and
Managing Director of the Center of Excellence for Concrete Research and Testing
at King Saud University, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA). He is an Adjunct
Professor at the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Missouri
University of Science and Technology, Rolla, USA. He was formerly an Assistant
Professor at the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Nottingham, UK.
He received his Ph.D. in 1999 from the University of Sheffield, UK. He is
actively engaged in research in materials and structural engineering. His
primary research interests are developing blast and impact-resistant materials;
structural behavior of concrete-filled tubes; fiber-reinforced concrete
structures; cement-based and polymer-based fiber-reinforced composites; nano-
and micro-mechanics of composite materials; sustainability and environmental
impact; self-compacting concrete; prediction modeling; application of
artificial intelligence. He has
published over 300 technical papers, holds 27 patents, edited/co-edited 7
volumes, and authored/co-authored 2 books. He is listed in the top
2% of scientists in the world in
both the life-long citation impact of his work and the citation impact of his
