Bram Estes is a Principal Scientist at Amgen in Thousand Oaks, California. He received his B.S in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from the University of California in San Diego in 2001. In 18 years at Amgen, he has developed high throughput and high volume expression platforms to suit company needs, developing immunoglobulin scaffolds for monoclonal antibody and multi-specific therapeutics, and engineering therapeutic proteins for improved biophysical characteristics. He has also led numerous therapeutic projects through research and into development and managed an expression group in the Biologics department.
