Information

I am an Assistant Professor in Urban and Regional Planning in the Interuniversity Department of Regional and Studies and Planning at Politecnico di Torino. I have over ten years of international experience in research, capacity-building, and education, focusing on enhancing urban resilience to climate change and other social and environmental challenges from a comparative European perspective. My research revolves around three interconnected themes: (i) urban welfare spaces as the backbone of the contemporary city; (ii) conceptual studies and empirical research on territorial resilience; (iii) the Europeanization process of territorial governance. I am a faculty affiliate of the Responsible Risk Resilience Centre (R3C) at Politecnico di Torino, where I support practitioners and policymakers in their transition toward resilience. I am the coordinator of the European Project DUT MAINCODE, which aims to integrate nature into the co-design of urban climate shelters in schoolyards. Additionally, I serve as co-editor of the Springer Book Series "Resilient Cities: Re-thinking Urban Transformation." I have published my research in numerous international journals and books, with a total of over 50 articles and book chapters.
