Ana-Maria Chiorcea-Paquim obtained a Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry, Biochemical Technology, from the University of Coimbra in 2003. Currently, she is a Scientific Researcher at the University of Coimbra (2009–present), at the Centre for Mechanical Engineering, Materials, and Processes (CEMMPRE) and Advanced Production and Intelligent Systems (ARISE). She has published six book chapters, 63 articles in international peer-reviewed journals, and 1 article in a national peer-reviewed journal, with a h-index = 27 and 1999 citations. Her research has been presented in 58 oral and 35 poster presentations at international conferences. She has participated in 14 national and European R&D projects. She is an Editorial Board Member of Sensors (ISSN 1424-8220; CODEN: SENSC9, CiteScore 5.0, Q1 ranked), member of the International Society of Electrochemistry (ISE), Bioelectrochemistry Society (BES), Sociedade Portuguesa de Química (SPQ), and invited referee for journals from Elsevier, Wiley, Springer, MDPI, RSC, etc. She was a member of the organizing committees of two international conferences.
