Hossein Taheri received B.S. and M.S. degrees in mechanical engineering and a Ph.D. degree in mechanical and electrical engineering. Since 2018, he has been the Founding Director at the Laboratory for Advanced Non-Destructive Testing, In Situ Monitoring, and Evaluation (LANDTIE), a research lab with a focus on fundamental and applied research projects on Nondestructive Testing and Evaluation, In-line Monitoring, and Metrology for Advanced Manufacturing and Materials. He has held research positions at the Center for Nondestructive Evaluation (CNDE) at Iowa State University and the Materials Evaluation and Testing Laboratory (METLAB) at South Dakota State University. He has served on numerous committees, including the ASNT, ASME, and editorial committees of several scientific journals.
