Into Pääkkönen is a research scientist at the Department of Navigation and Positioning at the Finnish Geospatial Research Institute (FGI). He holds a B.Sc. (Tech.) degree and M.Sc (Tech.) degree from Aalto University, Finland, with a major in engineering physics. Into’s interests include signal processing, physical modelling, and navigation and communication technologies. His current research at FGI focuses on GNSS and LEO-PNT simulation and receiver development, and varying topics related to resilient PNT, such as IMU-GNSS fusion. He has also contributed to the development of FGI-GSRx GNSS software receivers with GPS L1C and Galileo HAS processing capabilities.
