Dr. Xiangqun Ju is an experienced maxillofacial surgeon and epidemiologist with extensive academic experience in general oral health epidemiology and knowledge of contemporary oral health, dental care and dental service issues. Her PhD research involved epidemiological aspects of oral and general health among older Australians. As an epidemiologist and integral member of Australia Research Centre for Population Oral Health (ARCPOH), she now works in the University of Adelaide’s Indigenous Oral Health Unit as an Indigenous oral health researcher to investigate (1) the relationship between socioeconomic status, nutrition, oral health literacy and dental diseases, and (2) the Human papillomavirus (HPV) and oropharyngeal cancer among Indigenous Australians.
