Ja-Won KOO graduated from Seoul National University College of Medicine and received a PhD in Medicine from Seoul National University College of Medicin in 2004. He is the professor and chairman of Dep of ORL-HNS, Seoul National University College of Medicine, and he also serves for Dizziness Center of Seoul National University Bundang Hospital as a director.    Regarding society activity, he is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Korean ORL society. He has served as the president of Korean Otological Society and Korean Balance Society and adjunct professor at the hearing research center at Oregon Health and Science University. He is preparing for the 2026 Politzer society meeting in Seoul, Korea as a congress president. He is a member of the Politzer society, Barany Society, and CORLAS. His research topics mainly include: hearing loss, vestibular science, and neurotology
