Lei Liu, Doctor of Engineering, Professor of College of Chemical Engineering and Technology, Taiyuan University of Technology, is mainly engaged in the research of new catalytic materials, biomass and coal-based platform molecular efficient conversion and product engineering. In 2015-2016, he worked on collaborative research with Professor Graham J. Hutchings as a visiting scholar at the Institute of Catalysis, Cardiff University, UK. He has undertaken three national natural science foundation, including the national natural science outstanding youth fund; presided over seven provincial and ministerial projects; undertook two key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation. He was awarded the second prize of science, technology and natural science in Shanxi Province in 2014 (the first completer). In 2011, he was selected by the Ministry of Education to support outstanding talents in the new century. In 2012, he was awarded one hundred excellent doctoral dissertations in China. Later, he was selected as a top-notch backbone talent in the " Sanjin Talent " support program in Shanxi Province in 2018 and served as a national natural science fund project communication and conference evaluation expert.
