In this article, we have studied the convergence properties of double Sumudu transformation, and we presented the results in the form of theorems on convergence, absolute convergence, and uniform convergence of Double Sumudu transformation. The Double Sumudu transform of double Integral has also been discussed for integral evaluation. Finally, we have solved a Volterra integro-partial differential equation by using Double Sumudu transformation.

Elevated environments such as plateaus are often classified as low oxygen environments. The hypoxic adaptation mechanisms utilized by organisms in these conditions are not well understood. To address this, the differentially expressed genes (DEGs) involved in hypoxia adaptation were assessed using two pig breeds (Tibetan pig [TP] and Yorkshire sow [YY]). Genes related to lung tissue responses to hypoxia were assessed using transcriptomic (using RNA-seq) and proteomic (using iTRAQ) analysis. A total of 1021 DEGs were screened out. In the iTRAQ omics data, a total of 22,100 peptides were obtained and 4518 proteins were found after filtering. A total of 271 differentially expressed proteins [DEPs] were screened using the conditions of p < 0.05; FC ≤ 0.833; and FC ≥ 1.2. A total of 14 DEGs at the mRNA and protein levels were identified and found to be associated with regulation of the inflammatory response; blood particles; and MAPK cascade response regulation. Among the DEGs, six were associated with hypoxia adaptation function (mitochondria and glycolysis) in pigs. The results of this study identify novel candidate genes involved in porcine hypoxia adaptation mechanisms.

(1) Background: Mengshan cattle from the Yimeng mountainous region in China stand out as a unique genetic resource, known for their adaptive traits and environmental resilience. However, these cattle are currently endangered and comprehensive genomic characterization remains largely unexplored. This study aims to address this gap by investigating the genomic features and selection signals in Mengshan cattle. (2) Methods: Utilizing whole-genome resequencing data from 122 cattle, including 37 newly sequenced Mengshan cattle, we investigated population structure, genetic diversity, and selection signals. (3) Results: Our analyses revealed that current Mengshan cattle primarily exhibit European taurine cattle ancestry, with distinct genetic characteristics indicative of adaptive traits. We identified candidate genes associated with immune response, growth traits, meat quality, and neurodevelopment, shedding light on the genomic features underlying the unique attributes of Mengshan cattle. Enrichment analysis highlighted pathways related to insulin secretion, calcium signaling, and dopamine synapse, further elucidating the genetic basis of their phenotypic traits. (4) Conclusions: Our results provide valuable insights for further research and conservation efforts aimed at preserving this endangered genetic resource. This study enhances the understanding of population genetics and underscores the importance of genomic research in informing genetic resources and conservation initiatives for indigenous cattle breeds.

(1) Background: Buffaloes are crucial livestock species for food and service in tropical and subtropical regions. Buffalo genetics, particularly in indigenous Chinese breeds such as the Xiangxi white buffalo (XWB), remains an intriguing area of study due to its unique traits and regional significance. (2) Methods: This investigation utilized the whole-genome sequences of twenty XWBs (newly sequenced), along with eighty published whole-genome sequences of other buffalo breeds (including Guizhou white buffalo, river buffalo, and Chinese buffalo in the Yangtze River). Using whole-genome sequencing analysis technology, the population structure, genomic diversity, and selection signatures of XWB were determined. (3) Results: This study revealed that the XWB, being phylogenetically positioned in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, exhibited substantial genomic diversity. Employing four selection sweep detection methods (CLR, iHS, π-ratio, and FST), several genes were positively identified for adaptive traits in the XWB, including coat color phenotypes (ASIP, KIT), the nervous system (GRIK2), reproduction (KCNIP4), growth and development (IFNAR1, BMP6, HDAC9, MGAT4C, and SLC30A9), the body (LINGO2, LYN, and FLI1), immunity (IRAK3 and MZB1), and lactation (TP63, LPIN1, SAE1). (4) Conclusions: In conclusion, this study enhances our understanding of the genetic distinctiveness and adaptive traits of XWB, highlighting selection signatures crucial for future breeding and conservation and ensuring sustainable use of this vital livestock resource.

Dehong humped cattle are precious livestock resources of Yunnan Province, China; they have typical zebu traits. Here, we investigated their genetic characteristics using whole-genome resequencing data of Dehong humped animals (n = 18). When comparing our data with the publicly-available data, we found that Dehong humped cattle have high nucleotide diversity. Based on clustering models in a population structure analysis, Dehong humped cattle had a mutual genome ancestor with Chinese and Indian indicine cattle. While using the RFMix method, it is speculated that the body sizes of Dehong humped cattle were influenced by the Chinese indicine segments and that the immune systems of Dehong humped cattle were affected by additional ancestral segments (Indian indicine). Furthermore, we explored the position selection regions harboring genes in the Dehong humped cattle, which were related to heat tolerance (FILIP1L, ABHD6) and immune responses (GZMM, PRKCZ, STOML2, LRBA, PIK3CD). Notably, missense mutations were detected in the candidate gene ABHD6 (c.870C>A p.Asp290Glu; c.987C>A p.Ser329Arg). The missense mutations may have implications for Dehong humped cattle adaptation to hot environments. This study provides valuable genomic resource data at the genome-wide level and paves the way for future genetic breeding work in the Dehong humped cattle.

(1) Background: Matou goats, native to Hunan and Hubei provinces in China, are renowned for their exceptional meat and skin quality. However, a comprehensive whole-genome-based exploration of the genetic architecture of this breed is scant in the literature. (2) Methods: To address this substantial gap, we used whole-genome sequences of 20 Matou goats and compared them with published genomic data of 133 goats of different breeds across China. This comprehensive investigation sought to assess genetic diversity, population structure, and the presence of genomic selection signals. (3) Results: The whole genome of Matou goat populations yielded a substantial catalog of over 19 million single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), primarily distributed within intergenic and intron regions. The phylogenetic tree analysis revealed distinct clades corresponding to each goat population within the dataset. Notably, this analysis positioned Matou goats in a closer genetic affinity with Guizhou White goats, compared to other recognized goat breeds. This observation was corroborated by principal component analysis (PCA) and admixture analysis. Remarkably, Matou goats exhibited diminished genetic diversity and a notable degree of inbreeding, signifying a reduced effective population size. Moreover, the study employed five selective sweep detection methods (including PI, CLR, PI-Ratio, Fst, and XP-EHH) to screen top signal genes associated with critical biological functions, encompassing cardiomyocytes, immunity, coat color, and meat quality. (4) Conclusions: In conclusion, this study significantly advances our understanding of the current genetic landscape and evolutionary dynamics of Matou goats. These findings underscore the importance of concerted efforts in resource conservation and genetic enhancement for this invaluable breed.
