Helena Madureira is geographer and holds a Ph.D. in Landscape Architecture from the University of Porto. She is assistant professor at Porto University’s Department of Geography and an integrated member of CEGOT, a research center dedicated to geography and spatial planning (https://cegot.pt/pt/). She has been invited professor in several international universities, reviewer in several journals and evaluator of national individual research programs. She is currently member of the Direction of the Portuguese Association of Geographers (https://www.apgeo.pt). Her main research interests focus on landscape and spatial planning, urban environmental planning and urban climatology. She has been participating in a number of national and international projects focused on the interactions between climate, green structures, sustainable urban planning and health/quality of life.
