Prof. Dr. Secundino López is a Professor in Animal Nutrition (Universidad de León, Spain), DVM (1985), and holds a Ph.D. in Veterinary Sciences (1990)(Universidad de León, Spain). Thirty-nine years of professional experience teaching at the University of Leon in Veterinary and Agronomy degrees, and also as a scientist/researcher involved in a number of national and EU projects (as IP or team member). Research interests focused mainly on ruminant nutrition, feed evaluation, rumen fermentation, feed additives, and mathematical modeling in animal nutrition. Member of the FEEDAP Panel of EFSA from 2011 to 2024.
