Dr. M. A. R. Loja completed her PhD in Mechanical
Engineering at the Instituto Superior Técnico (IST, UTL) and holds a
Habilitation in Mechatronics and Energy Engineering from the University of
Évora (UEvora) in Automatic Calculation of Structures. She is
currently an assistant professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at
the Instituto Superior de Engenharia de Lisboa (ISEL, IPL). She was also
Associate Professor at the Department of Physics at the University of
Évora, as well as an Assistant and Adjunct Professor at the Escola Náutica
Infante D. Henrique. She is an integrated researcher at the Institute of
Mechanical Engineering (IDMEC, IST) and coordinates the Research Center for
Modeling and Optimization of Multifunctional Systems (CIMOSM, ISEL). Her main
areas of interest include the scientific areas of computational solid
mechanics, advanced composite materials, intelligent structures, optimization,
and reverse engineering, in which she is the author/co-author of diverse
research papers.
