Miguel Angel Zamora Izquierdo received the M.S. degree in Automation and Electronics and the Ph.D. degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Murcia, Spain, in 1997 and 2003, respectively. In 1997, he started being part of the Department of Engineering and Systems of the Technical University of Valencia (UPV), Valencia, Spain. In 1999, he continued his professional career at the University of Murcia as Assistant Professor in the Department of Information and Communication Engineering. Currently, he is Full Professor at this department, where he carries out research and teaching. Temporarily, he has also been a visiting researcher at the Laboratoire Central des Ponts et Chaussées (LCPC), Nantes, France. His research interest covers ubiquitous and embedded systems, sensor fusion and integration, and communication architectures. Currently, He focused his research in infrastructure systems such as deployments in precision agriculture, smart buildings, Smart Cities systems and other monitoring and control systems.
