My name is Dr. Josef Spachtholz and I am the representative for qualification and certification strategies for additive manufactured (AM) parts for MTU Aero Engine AG. I am part of the bionic design team in the additive manufacturing department. In addition to the development of qualification and certification strategies I lead the technology project for AM process simulation. I have a technical background as a structural and material engineer with focus on structural integrity and fatigue. My vision is the introduction of safe-ly an successfully AM parts in aviation serial application.
