Prof. Dr. Xuechuan Wang received a Ph.D. degree from Sichuan University. He is a professor, doctoral supervisor, and vice president of Shaanxi University of Science and Technology. He is the vice chairman of the Teaching Guidance Committee for Light Industry Majors in Higher Education Institutions of the Ministry of Education, the vice chairman of the Technical Committee of the China Leather Association, a member of the Central Committee of the China Democratic League, a member of the Standing Committee of the Shaanxi Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the chairman of the China Democratic League Committee of Shaanxi University of Science and Technology, a director of the Surfactant Development Promotion Association of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, a project review expert of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, a member of the Academic Committee of the National Key Laboratory of Tanning and Cleaning Technology of Sichuan University, and a member of the Tanning Subcommittee of the National Leather Industry Standards Committee. His research interests mainly focus on clean leather/fur/synthetic leather production technology and theory; biomass resource utilization and collagen matrix biomedical materials; preparation of environmentally friendly green textile auxiliaries and fine chemicals and research on their mechanism of action; and structural design and performance research of functional polymer materials.
