Huawei Zhang received his Bachelor’s degree in Food Science and Master's degree in Food Chemistry from Northwest A&F University from 1996 to 2003, and received his Ph.D. in Botany from Nanjing University in 2006. Currently, he is a full professor at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Zhejiang University of Technology, Hangzhou, China. His research interests mainly focus on the discovery and biosynthetic logic of novel bioactive secondary metabolites from marine microorganisms.
