Introduction: The purpose of the study was to investigate the age-related anthropometric and motor performance changes over time and their contributions to swimming style-specific performance in young different chronological age swimmers. Material and Methods: The study was conducted on a total of forty swimmers who were divided into 2 groups. The Anthropometric meas-urements were executed from 12 body parts, and body composition analysis was determined by using the skinfold method. The motor performance tests were performed for the assessment of standing horizontal jump, handgrip strength, flexed-arm hang strength, sit-up, flexibility, aerobic endurance, speed, agility, and balance. Simple Linear Regression analysis was performed to build the models for each of the swimming styles. Results: All the models indicated that aerobic endur-ance was a significantly predictive variable on all swimming styles (p < 0.001). The results indicated that the anthropometric and motor performance predictors changed depending upon the age pro-gression in each swimming style (p < 0.001). Conclusions: The effect of many variables on swimming performance is seen to be more evident in the following periods based on the increase of age. Aerobic endurance is a common variable that shows effectiveness on swimming performance for both all age groups and swimming styles.

Young adulthood is a critical developmental period characterized by significant physical, psychological, and social changes. During this stage, hedonic hunger refers to food consumption driven by emotional satisfaction, whereas intuitive eating reflects eating behaviors guided by internal hunger and satiety cues. Physical activity is also considered a potential factor influencing individuals’ food preferences. Accordingly, this study aimed to examine the relationships between hedonic hunger, intuitive eating, and physical activity levels among young adults. The study was conducted using a relational screening model with a sample of 402 individuals (M = 19.02), aged 18–29, selected through convenience sampling. Data were collected using a personal information form, the Food Power Scale, the Intuitive Eating Scale, and the International Physical Activity Questionnaire-Short Form (IPAQ-SF). Data analysis was performed using SPSS 24.0, employing independent samples t-tests and Pearson correlation analysis. Effect sizes (Cohen’s d, η²) and assumption checks were also considered to enhance interpretability. The findings indicated no significant differences in Food Power Scale total and sub-dimension scores or Intuitive Eating Scale sub-dimension scores based on gender (p > 0.05). However, significant relationships were found between participants’ BMI and both the total and sub-dimension scores of the Food Power Scale and Intuitive Eating Scale (p < 0.05). In contrast, no significant relationships were identified between physical activity levels and these scale scores (p > 0.05). In conclusion, BMI is significantly associated with food power perception and intuitive eating behaviors. These findings highlight the importance of providing educational interventions to promote healthy eating behaviors among young adults.

The aim of this study was to show the relationship between the quality of life and physical activity of refugee children who came to Turkey as a result of forced migration from their home countries. The study was conducted with the voluntary participation of 100 children between the ages of 14 and 17 living in the center of Çorum province in Turkey who were admitted as refugees. The data was collected by means of a questionnaire. The "Personal Information Form" created by the researchers was used in the first part and the "High School Quality of Life Scale (HSQOLS)" was used in the second part. For the selection of statistical tests, two independent group comparisons were made using the Mann Whitney U-test, as the data were not normally distributed. Comparisons between three independent groups were carried out using the Kruskal-Wallis test, as the data were not normally distributed. To determine the different groups after the Kruskal-Wallis test, the Mann Whitney U post hoc pairwise comparison test with Bonferroni correction was used. The statistical significance level was assumed to be p0.005. Statistically significant differences were found between participants' athletic status in Turkey, athletic branch in Turkey, athletic branch in their country of origin, athletic branch in their country of origin, and athletic age and the total scale and all sub-dimensions of the LISCEC (p0.05). It is therefore hypothesized that physical activity and sport positively influence the quality of life of refugee children from different cultures in the countries where they settle and that this interaction is due to the integrative function of sport.
This study examined the moderating role of coaching self-efficacy in the association between awareness of child abuse in sport and self-reported professional ethical behaviors among coaches working with young athletes in Türkiye. Using a quantitative, cross-sectional design, survey data from 414 coaches were analyzed through correlation analysis and hierarchical multiple regression. Age, coaching experience, previous child safeguarding training, and institutional safeguarding policy status were included as prespecified covariates. Child abuse awareness was positively associated with self-reported professional ethical behaviors (r = 0.495, p < 0.001), as was coaching self-efficacy (r = 0.413, p < 0.001). Coaching self-efficacy significantly moderated the association between child abuse awareness and professional ethical behaviors (B = 0.236, 95% CI [0.148, 0.324], p < 0.001). The interaction explained an additional 4.1% of the variance in self-reported professional ethical behaviors (ΔR² = 0.041), with stronger positive associations observed at higher levels of coaching self-efficacy. These findings identify general coaching self-efficacy as a relevant statistical moderator of the relationship between safeguarding awareness and reported ethical conduct. Given the cross-sectional design and reliance on self-report measures, the findings do not establish causal relationships or independently observed ethical practices.
