Gerrit de Leeuw is Professor Emiritus from the University of Helsinki and the Finnish Meteorological Institute. He joined KNMI in 2020 and is a visiting professor at RADI-CAS (Beijing), NUIST (Nanjing) and CUMT (Xuzhou), China. His current interests are satellite remote sensing of aerosols and the application for air quality and climate. He is Section Editor in Chief of Atmosphere Remote Sensing. Google Scolar H-index 66.
