Dr. Rafeeya Shams completed her B. Tech (Food Technology) at IUST, Kashmir, in 2015; received her master’s degree in Food Technology (Food Process Engineering) from the Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences in 2017; and completed her doctorate in Food Science and Technology at the Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology, Jammu, in 2022. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor at the Food Technology & Nutrition, Lovely Professional University. Her research interests include food pigments, food safety, bacteria, bioactive compounds, nutraceuticals, food chemistry, the latter including valorization, bioactive potential, extraction, and novel techniques.
