Jonathan C. Schisler is an Assistant Professor at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He received his Bachelor’s of Science (1997, Biology) and Master’s of Science (2000, Bioengineering) from the University of Toledo, Ohio, and PhD (Biological Chemistry, 2006) from the University of Texas, Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas Texas. He trained as a postdoc studying cardiovascular biology at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The Schisler Lab, located in the McAllister Heart Institute, integrates complex genomic-biologic data to elucidate risk relationships with a focus on human diseases that are mediated by changes in both metabolic and protein quality control systems.
