Prof. Ioannis Koukouvelas

Dr. Ioannis K. Koukouvelas is a Professor in the Department of Geology at Patras University, Greece. He is currently teaching geology in the Departments of Geology, Civil Engineering, and Material Sciences at Patras University. His research interests are, among others, in educational assessments and enriching student agency in a learning environment where students are demanded to conceptualize formative assessments of their own. His research work in education refers to assessments in adult learning of geology. He has conducted postdoctoral research at Stanford University (USA) and St. Mary's University of Canada. He has written four textbooks and is currently publishing research articles in peer-reviewed journals, proceedings of congresses, and scientific reports.
