Ling Liu earned her Doctoral degree in Entomology from Yunnan Agricultural University in July 2010. She joined Yunnan Academy of Forestry and Grassland in October 2010. She served as a Research Intern at the academy from 2011 to 2013, worked as an Assistant Researcher from 2013 to 2017, and was promoted to Associate Researcher in 2017. Her main research focuses on the prevention and control of forest pests.
