Jianxin Wang received his Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics from West
China University of Medical Sciences in 1999. He worked for Shanghai Institute
of Chinese Materia Medica from July 1999 to April 2005. He was awarded as
“Shanghai Youth Model” in 2003 and “Shanghai labor model” in 2004. He joined the faculty of School of Pharmacy, Fudan University in 2005 and became
the vice dean in 2012. He worked as a visiting scholar in the College of
Pharmacy, University of Michigan form 2009 to 2010. His research interest
areas include targeting drug livery, drug transport through biological
barriers, in particular those of the GI tract and the blood-brain barrier, and
the development of novel dosage form and new preparations. He has been
the principle investigator of more than 20 projects funded by the government.
He has published more than 120 papers, edited or co-edited 12 books, and holds
12 issued Chinese patents.
