Guowei Qian is an Associate Professor at the School
of Ocean Engineering and Technology, Sun Yat-sen University. Prior to this, he
served as a Postdoctoral Fellow (2018–2019) and an Assistant Professor (2019–2022)
at Tokyo University. He graduated from Hefei University of Technology with a
Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering in 2012, received his Master’s in Architecture
and Civil Engineering from Tongji University in 2015, and earned his Ph.D. in Civil
Engineering from Tokyo University in 2018. He is also a member of the China
Renewable Energy Society and the Japan Association for Wind Engineering. He is
engaged in research on ocean engineering structural safety and monitoring
technology.
