Macide Artac Ozdal is the Head of the undergraduate and postgraduate departments in Health Management at the European University of Lefke and acts as a lecturer in the Faculty of Health Sciences. She completed her BSc in Biomedical Sciences at the University of Essex, in 2008, her MPH in Public Health at Imperial College London, in 2009, and he rPhD in Clinical Studies (Public Health) at Imperial College London, in 2014. In 2013, she started working as an Instructor at the Faculty of Health Sciences in Cyprus International University and, after completing her PhD, she was appointed Assistant Professor. She started working at the European University of Lefke in 2017, and has been acting as Head of the Department since 2019. She has research interests in the fields of prevention of chronic diseases, specifically cardiovascular diseases, management of chronic diseases, management and organisation of chronic disease services, quality of healthcare services, and burdens and cost burdens of chronic diseases.
