Zujun Yang received his  Ph.D. in Agronomy from Sichuan Agricultural University in 1999. He attended the University of Haifa (2001–2002) and Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey (2002–2004), for his post-doctoral fellowship. He joined the School of Life Science and Technology at the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China in July 2004 and became a Professor in 2007. He carries out research in Agronomy, Biotechnology, and Bioinformatics.
