Ghulam Amjad Hussain is an Associate Professor at the College of Engineering and IT, University of Dubai. He completed his BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology (UET), his MS in Electrical Engineering, and as well as his PhD in Electrical Engineering and Automation from Aalto University. Prior to his current position, Ghulam Amjad Hussain served as a Electrical Engineer at Al-ahleia Switchgear Co. from 2008 to 2010, as a Research Scientist at Aalto University from 2011 to 2016, as a Senior Engineer at Eaton Corporation from 2016 to 2017, and as an Associate Professor and Assistant Dean at College of Engineering and Applied Sciences of American University of Kuwait from 2017 to 2024. He also served as a Professional Engineer of the Pakistan Engineering Council and a Senior Member of IEEE. His research interests include Online Condition Monitoring, Power Systems, and High Voltage Engineering.
