Ignacio Mariscal-Sancho got his PhD in 2008. He is a tenured lecturer at “Universidad Politécnica de Madrid” and he focuses on the study of soil management to improve soil functionality and quality. He think that analysing and understanding the impacts of different soil management and events on key processes, such as biogeochemical cycles, is essential in order to mitigate agricultural soil constraints. Throughout his career, he has participated in more than 15 research projects with universities, research centres and companies in many countries. This allows him to take a holistic approach to solving soil problems. He is member of the International Soil Tillage Research Organisation among other societies.
